Sealed Hardwood Floors

The vast majority of residential hardwood floors are factory-sealed with polyurethane.

  • Finish It.  Finish your floors with our Quick Shine® Multi Surface Floor Finish or Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Luster for a deep, rich, long-lasting and protective glow.  Quick Shine enhances the grain, color and beauty of your hardwood floors.  For worn and dull hardwood flooring; before you take on the expense of sanding, re-staining and resealing; give our Quick Shine® Multi Surface Floor Finish or Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Luster a try.  Just squirt and spread.  You will be amazed how beautifully restored your hardwood floor becomes not to mention the joy you will feel when you realize the time, money and aggravation that you avoided by not sanding and resealing.  Be certain the floor is free of dust, pet hair, dirt, and debris by dry dust mopping or damp mopping with plain tap water before applying our Quick Shine® Multi Surface Floor Finish or Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Luster.

  • Refresh It.  Refresh the shine with a new gloss coat of Quick Shine® Multi Surface Floor Finish or Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Luster whenever you feel the rich glow needs a boost.  As a general rule-of-thumb, high traffic areas should be freshened every 2-3 months and light-traffic areas every 4-6 months.  You can even freshen just the high traffic lanes of the floor if you wish.

  • Prevent It.  An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.  Remember, it is the grit and grime that damages and wears hardwood.  Establish floor mats or throw rugs at entryways and walkways to minimize the abrasion of the seal caused by dirt and grit tracking.  Colorful oriental rugs for walkways and under tables are a traditional, attractive and effective way to protect your hardwood floors.  Place felt-tipped protectors on bottoms of chair legs.  Dust mop with our Quick Shine® Hardwood Floor Mop at least once a week or more frequently if heavy soil is present.  Keep your pets nails trimmed.  Go shoe-less.  Sock traffic is better than shoe traffic.

Old and Worn Sealed Hardwood Floors

These include hardwood floors that have a worn seal in areas.

  • Finish It.  Many consumers tell us that our Quick Shine® Multi Surface Floor Finish and Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Luster is an easy way to gloss sealed hardwood floors that have a worn seal in areas.  These products are much easier to apply, maintain and touch-up than oil-based urethane and wax products.  The Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish is recognized by the US EPA Safer Choice program.  Our quality products help save time, expense, and the hassle of sanding and re-sealing the entire surface.  First apply in an inconspicuous area to be certain you will attain the results desired and follow the directions on the bottle.

  • Maintain It.  Maintain the shine with a regular cleaning routine by using our Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner or Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Cleaner in our Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Spray Mop.  For lighter cleaning simply dry dust mop or damp mop your floors with plain tap water using a microfiber mop pad or sponge mop.

Establish floor mats or throw rugs at entryways and walkways to minimize the abrasion of the wood grain by dirt and grit tracking. Colorful oriental rugs for walkways and under tables are a traditional, attractive and effective way to protect your unsealed hardwood floors as well. Place felt-tipped protectors on bottoms of chair legs. Remove high heel shoes before walking on floor surface. Dust mop with our Quick Shine® Hardwood Floor Mop at least once a week or more frequently if heavy soil is present. Keep your pets nails trimmed. Go shoe-less. Sock traffic is better than shoe traffic.

Above all enjoy your hardwood floors. Nothing enhances the value of a home more than the rich, warm, natural look of a beautiful hardwood floor which will last hundreds of years with proper care.
