      Hi Sue,

We recommend removing our Finish with Quick Shine Deep Cleaner. This product was specifically developed to safely remove polymer and wax finishes without harming hardwood floors or other types of hard surface floors such as tile, vinyl- including the new luxury vinyl, stone, marble, and laminate. Simply dilute the Deep Cleaner in HOT water and apply to the floor surface, let stand for a few minutes and agitate. Do small sections of the floor at a time. Then remove debris and build-up from the floor with a clear water rinse. For heavy buildup, you may need to increase the dilution of 1 cup per gallon to 3 cups per gallon. Deep Cleaner is concentrated, therefore one 27 oz. bottle will make roughly 2 gallons, which covers about 500 square feet and will not damage the sealant on hardwood floors. The Quick Shine Deep Cleaner is only available online at http://www.quickshine.net or by calling our Customer Service Center.

Can I use your Hardwood Floor Luster, brown label, on oak flooring that’s been most recently finished with S C Johnson paste wax (which is a solvent borne carnauba)? We have waxed Bruce brand hardwood floors from 1981.

        Hi Matthew,

We do not recommend applying Quick Shine Hardwood Floor Luster over a paste wax. Quick Shine is a water borne polymer formulated only intended for use on factory sealed or polyurethane floors. For more information, please contact customer service at 800-255-1891. We are always happy to help!

            Hi Henry,

Polyurethane typically requires a two-week cure time. We recommend waiting 2-3 weeks before applying Quick Shine to avoid hazing.

        Hi Michael,

We are sorry to hear you did not achieve satisfactory results when applying Quick Shine to your bamboo floors. What floor cleaner did you use prior to our Finish? We recommend removing Quick Shine with our Deep Cleaner (available on Amazon). This product was specifically formulated to dissolve the floor luster and restore the floors back to the original condition.

I wax every six months with this product. I have a dog, so I have few areas that were affected by urine. No damage, but I will be re-waxing soon. Do I have to use deep cleaner between waxes? My floors do not have a build up look.

        Hi Timani,
You can spot treat your floors where the shine has become compromised with our Quick Shine Deep Cleaner. You do not need to use the Deep Cleaner every time you reapply but if you feel like it is necessary this time to remove all of the Finish and start fresh, the Deep Cleaner will remove all of the Finish so you have a clean floor to reapply again.

Have you already tried reapplying a new coat to that area? You can remove the Finish from that section and reapply as well to make sure there is no residue causing the issue of an uneven appearance.

Just laid new commercial VCT tile in rental. Will your product be okay to use on it? Do we need to use sealer first, then follow with Quick Shine?

Also, what process should we use later when renters move out (they don’t clean floors well). Should we strip down and start from bare floor again, Or just clean and rewax with your product?

          Hi Theresa,

Great questions! Yes, Quick Shine is compatible with your commercial VCT tile floors. We do recommend testing a small area to assure satisfactory results. If the floors look well maintained when your tenants move out, you should be able to simply refresh the floors with a new coat of Finish. If you decide removing it is best, we recommend Quick Shine Deep Cleaner.

Is quick shine floor finish recommended for dyed and sealed concrete (acrylic sealer)?

    Reply »
    1. Posted October 18, 2018 at 8:11 am

      Hi John,

Yes, our Finish can go over concrete. However, when it comes to removing the finish from that area it can remove that acrylic sealer from the concrete surface as well. This product is meant for indoor flooring if you are looking to apply this to an outside area, we do not recommend this as the weather can compromise the shine of the finish. If you need further assistance, please contact 800-255-1891. We are always happy to help!

We’ve used quick shine on our linoleum floor for ten years! We scrub our floors monthly and apply it after each cleaning! All of a sudden our floor has turned brown except where we lay the throw rugs they remind me of a sunburn! We have been applying quick Zep Floor Stripper trying to get the wax off! What caused it to turn the floor brown in the first place! Thank you for your help! I can be reached at 989.550.8074

          Hi Linda,
Thank you for your brand loyalty. Darkening of the floor can be caused when dirt or residue is trapped between layers of the floor finish. It may also be that you have never previously removed the finish in those ten years.

Based on reviews, it looks like I’ve finally found the product that will help make my old linoleum floors look much better, and I really want to use Quick Shine Floor Finish.

Can my steam cleaner be used afterward on the floors without a problem? Aside from a vinegar-water cleaning, that’s my most often-used method of cleaning those floors.

      Hi Julie,

Our Quick Shine Floor Finish is “Like A New Floor In A Bottle!” You will be amazed at the rich shine it adds to your linoleum floors. We do not recommend cleaning over our Finish with a steam mop or vinegar solution as they can soften the finish and cause hazing. Maintain the Finish with our Quick Shine Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner. Our pH neutral formula will not streak or leave behind residue like other cleaners. For additional questions, please contact customer service at 800-255-1891. We are always happy to help!
