Tips To Protect Your Floors This Fall

Fall and cooler weather is upon us. In your home, your floors can take a beating during the cooler weather months. Here are a few tips to help you better protect your flooring investment.

Hardwood

Hardwood flooring expands and contracts depending on the weather and humidity. During the cooler months, you may notice more gaping between boards. This is common and is to be expected. Your floors shrink in cooler temperatures. We recommend keeping your home set at a consistent temperature between 60-70 degrees. Protect your floors with Quick Shine Hardwood Floor Luster. Fortified with pure plant-based carnauba, our Hardwood Luster is designed for high traffic and protects your floors from fading and drying out due to direct sunlight.

Luxury Vinyl Plank

Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) and Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) are virtually indestructible and are made to embrace the Fall and Winter months. These floor types have no problem enduring muddy shoes, and dripping umbrellas, or coats. More dirt and debris will accumulate on the floor so be sure to sweep and vacuum more often. We recommend using this mop for quick and effortless cleaning.

Stone & Tile

Stone and Tile floors are also extremely durable and easy to maintain during Fall and Winter. However, dirt and grime can find their way into every crevice as many stone and tile surfaces are textured; and let’s not forget the grout.  So if you need to go the extra mile in protection before the cold hits, we recommend starting with Quick Shine Deep Cleaner. Our Deep Cleaner goes to work instantly emulsifying ground in dirt on contact. Once your floors are clean and dry, add a protective coat of Quick Shine Multi-Surface Floor Finish to restore the color and beauty back to your floors.

Backed by EPA’s Safer Choice standards, you can achieve a healthier home for your family, pets, and environment without sacrificing quality.
