Your Daily Guide To Shine Blog Image

Have you tried every product on the market and still struggle with dull floors? Check out our guide to shiny floors and get your Shine On!

First, understand what causes dull floors. Harsh chemical solutions such as vinegar, bleach, ammonia, or other alkaline products can strip away the finish exposing the bare wood of your flooring. Too much cleaning product can also cause dull floors. Over time, detergents can build up and cause sticky residue. Now you are scrambling to find the right product to get your floors looking new again.

Quick Shine Deep Cleaner can remove buildup and residue to restore hardwood, laminate, tile, luxury vinyl plank, and other hard surface floors. For this product, you will need to mix 1 cup of solution with 1 gallon of HOT water. Mop the solution onto a 5′ section of the floor at a time and let sit for 1-5 minutes depending upon the amount of buildup you have. Finish with a clean rinse and move on until all the floor has been cleaned.

Now at this point, your floors should be free of any residue and look clean. If you still desire a restorative shine, Quick Shine it! Quick Shine Multi-Surface Floor Finish is safe for any sealed hard surface floor. It provides a fast-drying protective layer that enhances your floor’s natural color and beauty to leave a flawless finish. It’s like a new floor in a bottle!

Moving forward, follow these easy maintenance tips for a daily shine.

      Hi Travis,
You can spot treat the affected areas with Ammonia and HOT water. Apply solution and let sit 1-3 minutes before wiping away. Once the area is clean and dry, simply reapply Quick Shine to blend and even out the appearance of the floor.

We put this multi-shine product on brand new Florida Tile floors. Now we can’t even mop them without a dull white residue appearing. We’ve tried to remove the residue, but the floor winds up looking streaked. We are now thinking about having the tile pulled out and replacing it with wood. Any suggestions on how to get this stuff looking OK?

          Hi Marty,

We are sorry to hear you did not achieve satisfactory results when applying Quick Shine to your tile floors. What floor cleaner did you use prior to our Finish? We recommend removing Quick Shine with our Deep Cleaner (available on Amazon). This product was specifically formulated to dissolve the floor luster and restore the floors back to the original condition. Please reach out to customer service at 800-255-1891 for assistance.
